Children's Museum and Ultra Sound

Yesterday was a very busy and fun day. In the morning we had an ultra sound to verify the due date of the new baby. I know a lot of people don't get early ultra sounds, they aren't routine. But since my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, it is really reassuring for me to be able to see that the baby is doing well early in the pregnancy, so I asked for one with Regan and I asked for it this time. Regan was so well behaved in the ultra sound office. She just played with some toys with Matt and occasionally pointed to me and to the screen that was showing the baby. Matt and I often wonder if she has any idea, we joke that she knows whenever she is being "bratty." I was thinking the other day how mean we are being to her this year. We are moving like 3 times, once in June when we move into a HUGE and EXPENSIVE house to house-sit for some friends of ours. We will only be there for about a month and then we are moving in with Matt's parents (for the third time) to save money and because they have enough space for Regan (and the new baby when he/she gets here) to have their own room. Then the new baby will show up and completely change Regan's world. And to top it off we will then move a third time, except this time we will be moving her away from everyone and everything she knows :( For us the new baby and the big move to Idaho will be exciting and a new adventure, but for her they will be two HUGE changes in her life within a few months of each other. I am worried that the terrible twos will be even more terrible for her because she will be trying to adjust to all of this. But, I guess I have heard that children are resilient, so hopefully she will do OK.

The official due date is October 27th.

Anyway, after the ultra sound yesterday we took Regan to the Children's Museum in Dover, NH. We bought a year membership that gets us into all of the children's and science museums in the country so we go whenever we get a chance. Regan absolutely LOVES to walk around now that she has learned how and the museum has plenty of space for her to do so. She also really likes watching people. I don't think she even played with more than 5 or 6 exhibits yesterday, and each one she only played there for a few minutes before she was following around some stranger and their kids. It was really funny, but exhausting for us and her since she was seriously on the move the whole hour and a half that we were there. We've been at least 5 times this year, but this was the first time I actually brought a camera and took pictures. So here they are!
