Lexi's First Sunday

This past Sunday we took Alexis to church for the first time. She and Regan got to wear matching outfits for the first time! It was so fun dressing them alike, I've been looking forward to it ever since I found out Alexis was a girl. I made the dresses they wore myself using a pattern/tutorial for the "Junebug" dress from craftinessisnotoptional.com. Here is what her dress looked like (and her little girl is adorable BTW):
I made Regan's dress using her exact pattern from the tutorial which was meant to be a size 2T so her dress is a little too big. For Lexi's dress I used a copier and a newborn size dress to scale down the pattern to the right size. Unfortunately I made her dress just a bit too small. It took about 5 minutes to get it on her but I was determined to have her wear it at least once. I also made little hair accessories for each of them, a headband for Lexi and a clip for Regan. They looked so cute in their matching outfits! I am sad they won't be able to wear them together again, but it was worth the work for them to wear them once, and Regan can still wear hers for a while since it is big on her now. I will have to make them more matching dresses. I can't wait for Christmas and Easter outfits!
