I have been really addicted to sewing lately and if I had all the money in the world to buy all the beautiful fabrics in the world I would sew A LOT more. But I don't, and although it is much cheaper (depending on the cost of the fabric) to sew things than it is to buy them, it still isn't free and it isn't always in the budget. I have finished a couple projects since I made my maternity dress. The first was this cute little sleep sack for little miss pumpkin. I got the pattern from the same book that the dress came from. And although it would be easy to take credit for it, I can't, I did not do the patchwork myself. I went to Joann's and bought a piece of patchwork fabric. It was really fun to make, even though I accidentally made it backwards which made a couple of the steps extra difficult. Also, if you are ever sewing on velcro, don't use the stuff that is sticky on the back thinking that the sticky will help it stay in place until you finish sewing it on, it jammed up my machine because the sticky stuff got all over my needle. Anyway, here is the finished project!
Like I said, I've finished two things, but I don't have pictures of the second yet. It is the "Junebug Dress" which I found on Pinterest and if you are on Pinterest I am sure you have seen it, millions of people have pinned it. It is from the blog Craftiness Is Not Optional (http://www.craftinessisnotoptional.com/). She has tons of tutorials and "sew-alongs" on her blog. But, I will share my version of this dress later. I am going to make a matching one for the baby, once I finish that I will post about them both together. Anyway, that's all I have for now, but I will really try to post more often! Thanks for reading :)
